Fuel Cost Formula
Fuel Cost = (Distance ÷ Mileage) × Fuel Price per litre
Mileage varies by speed, AC usage, load, road conditions. City mileage is typically 20–30% lower than highway mileage.
Worked Example
Mumbai to Pune (150 km). Car mileage = 15 km/litre. Petrol price = ₹106/litre. Fuel = 150 ÷ 15 × ₹106 = ₹1,060 one way. Return trip = ₹2,120. Add ₹300 toll = ₹2,420 total.
