Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 2026

At CalcuTools India (accessible from https://www.calcutools.in), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by CalcuTools and how we use it.

1. Client-Side Data Processing

CalcuTools functions as a client-side utility platform. All financial inputs, salary figures, and investment data you enter into our calculators are processed locally on your device's browser using JavaScript. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal financial data on our servers.

2. Log Files

CalcuTools follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

3. Google AdSense and DoubleClick DART Cookie

Google is one of a third-party vendor on our site. It also uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to www.calcutools.in and other sites on the internet.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

Some of the links on CalcuTools may be affiliate links. This means that if you click on the link and purchase an item or open an account, we may receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep our calculators free to use.

5. Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.

6. What Information We Do NOT Collect

To be explicit: CalcuTools does not require account creation, login, or signup for any calculator. We do not ask for your name, PAN number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, or any government identification at any point. Every number you type into a salary field, loan amount field, or investment field stays inside your browser's memory and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party we control.

7. Cookies We Use

Beyond the Google AdSense cookies described above, CalcuTools may use a small number of functional cookies and browser localStorage entries to remember your last-used calculator inputs (for example, the last salary figure you entered into the Income Tax Calculator) so you don't have to retype it on your next visit. This data stays on your own device and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for calcutools.in.

8. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymised traffic patterns โ€” for example, which calculators are most popular, what device types visitors use, and which pages have high bounce rates. This data is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Third-Party Financial Product Links

Some calculator pages include links to third-party financial service providers (such as broking platforms, banks, or lending partners) that we have an affiliate relationship with, as disclosed in Section 4 above. When you click these links and are redirected to a partner's website, that partner's own privacy policy and data collection practices apply โ€” CalcuTools has no visibility into, or control over, what happens to your data once you leave our site. We only link to RBI-regulated banks and SEBI-regulated brokers.

10. Children's Privacy

CalcuTools does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Our calculators are intended for general financial planning use by adults and are not directed at children.

11. Data Security

Since CalcuTools does not store your financial inputs on any server or database, there is no central repository of user financial data that could be breached. Standard log file data (IP address, browser type) collected for security and analytics purposes is stored with our hosting provider using industry-standard security practices.

12. Your Rights

If you have questions about how any data is handled, or wish to request more information about our log file retention, please reach out via our Contact page. Since we collect minimal personal data by design, most data subject requests can typically be resolved by simply clearing your browser cookies and localStorage for this site.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, in the affiliate partners we work with, or in applicable Indian or international data protection law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us. We aim to respond to all privacy-related queries within 5 business days.
